MINISTRIES
These are websites of ministries and/or movements that have greatly impacted my life and are very-worth checking out!
01. The Call - http://www.thecall.com/
A movement of prayer and fasting for America and for the nations. Started in 2000 when 400,000 people came together in Washington, D.C. for 12 hours of fasting and prayer for America. This movement has had the greatest impact on my life in teaching me about intercession and the heart of God.
02. International House of Prayer (Kansas City, MI) - http://www.fotb.com/
A center of 24/7 worship and intercession since 1999 with a focus on intimacy with Jesus. I flew here several times to attend their OneThing conferences and a Call event. Check out their websites for TONS of free resources- sermons, notes, videos, etc.
03. Campus Church Networks - http://campuschurch.net/
A student-led, relationship-based network of church planters dedicated to empowering students to plant new churches for a new generation on every campus around the world.
04. Perspectives - http://www.perspectives.org/site/pp.aspx?c=eqLLI0OFKrF&b=2806295
A REALLY good course on the world Christian movement.
05. Worship resources - http://www.worshiptogether.com/
Worship resources for this generation, including new songs, chords, lyrics, teaching, articles, and more.
06. Bethel Church in Redding, CA - www.ibethel.org
I love the Kingdom culture here and have been greatly impacted the last several years by their teaching and worship. This is home for me :)
BOOKS
01. There is Always Enough by Heidi and Roland Baker
(Their story of God's miraculous provision among the poor in Mozambique, one of my most favorite books)
02. Streams in the Desert compiled by Mrs. Charles E. Cowman
(My favorite devotional book, so rich and deep!)
03. Conformed to His Image by Kenneth Boa
(Biblical and practical approaches to spiritual formation, one of the best books out there on holistic spirituality, a real gem)
04. In the Shadow of the Almighty by Elizabeth Elliot
(The life story of Jim Elliot, missionary/martyr in South America, his life has had possibly the greatest impact on my own life on what it means to forsake all and follow Jesus)
05. The Face of Love by Michele Perry
(I love love love this book! This is Michele's journey of being the face of love to the poor and orphans in war-torn Sudan, and this is the kind of life I know I was created to live. It is beautifully and powerfully written and will bring you into encounter with the Father heart of God.)
